Hi, I’m Michelle a personal trainer with over a decade of experience helping people of all backgrounds achieve their fitness goals. I earned my personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I also hold certifications in Crossfit, Crossfit Kids, Olympic Weightlifting, TRX, Kettlebells, Senior Fitness, and Behavior Change. My training philosophy centers around building a strong foundation whether you are a competitive athlete, just starting your fitness journey, or an advanced lifter. As a former competitive softball player who has completed a marathon, Ironman 70.3 and ultramarathon, I understand the grit and determination required to achieve your goals. When I’m not training, I love spending my time with my husband and kids. I am passionate about mountain biking, camping, skiing, drinking IPAs at local breweries and road tripping in our van.
My son, Thomas, was born with the rare KAT6A syndrome, which presents unique challenges as he is nonverbal, dependent on us for all his daily living skills and has limited mobility. Despite these hurdles, our family embraces inclusive adventures. We never once considered leaving Thomas out of family outings because of his limitations. It was never an option to leave him behind. This is the essence of Built Dirty…to put your head down, grind it out, and commit yourself. We have faced uncomfortable situations, pushing ourselves physically and mentally to bring Thomas along on every adventure. This journey has driven my mission: to offer workouts that foster both physical and mental resilience and to provide resources and guidance for anyone that has ever felt restricted.
